He is also my questioner. He keeps me on my toes and makes me nervous at the same time. The questions he has at such a young age makes me proud, but yet if not answered the "right" way who knows what he will think and where he will go to get answers that satisfy him. He is intrigued by heaven lately. He asked me if we got new bodies in heaven! I told him we got "heavenly bodies" and then he said, "oh, your soulg?" and I said yeah. Then he asked me what a soulg (soul) was and where it was. These type questions are my daily life with Noah. People wonder why I'm on Zoloft!!!!!! Seriously though, questioning things are good (that's what my husband has taught me) I just hope I will be able to give him good answers besides "I dunno..." which has been my answer on a number of things. Like yesterday when he asked me what our bones are made up of. Where does he come up with these things?? We are sitting outside blowing bubbles and then that comes up!! I'm so not a thinker.. this stresses me out!!! He seriously keeps me on my toes.
Then there's Kate...
I was talking to Chris last night about her and we decided that there is not one word to describe her other than just "kate". She is a tom-boy and a girly girl at the same time. She is an independent "i'll do it myself" girl but wants you beside her. She makes us laugh in her actions. She is so flighty, drifty, and S L O W (physically.. not mentally.. well, most of the time...)!!! My mom said I was the same way and my nickname was "pokey-hontes", I think I am passing the name down to my daughter. She is the worlds slowest eater. Seriously, my parents used to think I ate slow, but this girl.. wow, she wins. Hours go by, we all age a year, Kara will start kindergarten before Kate finishes her dinner. To give examples on how she makes me laugh is difficult, because you just have to be around her to "get her".
I took her and Noah on a bike ride last night. OH. MY. GOSH. Noah just got a new bike and rides it like a pro. Poor thing, I constantly had to tell him to wait on Kate and me. Kate. Well, Kate was on her tricycle. She would pedal for a couple of minutes but then get distracted by something and stop and look. One of our neighbors have an inflatable pumpkin in their yard and I swear she had to "talk" about it and look at it for 5 minutes. When I tried to "help" her along she yelled "I DO IT MOMMY". So we finally got past that and then there was "debris" on the sidewalk. Well Noah got off his bike and steered it around the debris and got back on his bike and was fine. Kate's turn... Right when we got to all the mess she turns to me and says, "I'LL DO IT MOMMY, OTAY???!!!!!" So I just stood there watching her. She gets off her bike because that's what "bubba" did. She picks up her bike and walks THROUGH the debris. smaaaaaaaaart one. Walked through the sticks poking her all the leaves piled up past her ankles and a fence down. All while carrying her bike. Heaven forbid I help her because if I even try... it's not pretty. I'm glad she is like that though. Hopefully that independence and her "own way" of life will keep her from caving to most peer pressure.
I'm sure Kara will have her own personality that will be totally different from the other two.
She already is our laid back kid... so far. I can't wait for her to start showing what her "thing" will be.. but, I don't want her to grow up too fast. It's funny that all three kids came from the exact same genes but have turned out so different. How boring it would be if all your kids turned out exactly alike. I love the differences my kids bring to the "dinner table". The "intelligent conversation" and the "comic relief". How cool is it that God gives each person with the same "make up" totally different and individual personalities. I just hope that they grow up happy, healthy, and God loving individuals. I hope that they are able to use their strengths in a Godly way. I hope He gives me the knowledge that I need to raise them properly. He sure gave ME role models and examples in my up-bringing. I hope I can do the same for my children.

A bone is made up of hard connective tissue consisting of cells embedded in a matrix of mineralized ground substance and collagen fibers. I'm sure he'll understand if you put it that way! :oP
