As Kate is graduating to Kinder, Noah is leaving behind first and going to SECOND grade. Oh my. I have a 2nd grader.. REALLY?? I think I was just in second grade with Mrs. Baxter. What happened? As I was pondering this, I was telling Chris I remember 2nd grade WAY more than first. I have memories of first, Kinder, and even some memories of preschool, but it seems like 2nd grade is where my memories get REALLY good. So, I guess I better start being nicer to him... this is when he will remember everything.. haha! Anyways, Noah had a good year. He went in to first grade a little nervous. His 1st grade class was the only class that was still in the Kinder hallway (strike 1), His classmates he didn't know AT. ALL. except one.. the ONE that really didn't like in Kinder. Yay, fun! (strike 2), but with 2 strikes going in, he had a great year. He is really learning how to better deal with things. It's been amazing watching him grow up. I don't even realize he is growing up, and then something will happen and it will remind me of how mature he is getting. Something that would have thrown him in to a full on fit 3 years ago, he now just shakes it off and moves on. I'm so proud of him in so many ways, and should really tell him that more. He is a good friend, excellent student, and good big brother... most of the time! :)
Here he is at his 1st grade desk, one last time..

Here is Noah getting an award from his teacher. He got the Shining Star award. Mrs. G gave a personalized award to every kid in the class. For Noah, she said she knew she could ALWAYS count on him to do what he was told, always have a smile on his face, and was just a good all around student. Not much can make a momma more proud than hearing that from their childs teacher.

I feel like I just dropped Noah off at Kinder for the first time, and now my baby is going to 2nd grade. You will have a GREAT time in second grade, Naoh... Love ya, Buddy!

Awww. Isn't it bizarre to watch them grow? I'm just amazed how much they learn in such a small amount of time!
