Another first today was the FIRST DAY OF MOTHERS DAY OUT!!! Wooooo-Hoooo!!! I think all of League City heard my screams of excitement this morning! Noah has been going to this MDO for two years, but this was Kate's first year. She was so excited! She had her "meow" backpack, "meow" lunchbox, and "meow" thermos. She was ready to go...at least last night. This morning, not so much. This is Kate right before we walked out the door:
Such a sweet angel, huh!? However, Noah was way pumped as you can tell:
I think he was excited to finally be getting to go to school. Two of his best friends, Aidan and Sophie, have just started Kindergarten (and they are in the same class), so he has been feeling a little left out. I tried to get a picture of the two of them, but as you can see, Kate's "precious mood" didn't photograph well!! I am also including a back picture of them both. If you know my mom, you understand it is a tradition to have a picture of your kids butt the first day of school. One day I might understand why, but for now, no clue.
Kate fell down while taking her back picture!!
I have no idea why this is underlining, but I'm getting really frustrated, so we are just going to go with it. Anyways, we got to school and they loved their classes, friends, and teachers. Here are a few more pictures of them in the classes. This is really freakin' annoying how it keeps underlining my typing.. grrrrrrr.
I had several other pictures I wanted to put in, but I'm getting really frustrated with this underlining thing.. and it's not uploading right. When I'm in a "happier" place, maybe I will post more pictures, but for now.. it's not going to happen!! and seriously, why are some of the words blue??? O.k. enough with my frustrations, back to my posts on first.
This last first would be a lot funnier if this wasn't being UNDERLINED....AHHHH!!!! Rachel and I were walking out of the building after dropping off our kids. We were crying, of course, (hahaha) about dropping off our babies. We were discussing how we were going to fill the empty void of having no kids at the house when Rachel turns to me and asks, "where's Kara?" hmmm.. HEART STOPPING MOMENT!! My answer was, "uh, I don't know!!" Then I realized I left her in the hallway when I was dropping off Kate. Great!! Such a good mom I am. Seriously, left her in her carseat in the HALLWAY! I think it's a "you had to be there moment" but I couldn't stop laughing.. and either could Rachel. I think it's a moment she won't ever let me forget.
So that's it for this post now. Seriously, it was going to be a lot better than this. I had huge plans for this post. It was going to make national headlines, and it might have been the post that would lead to my vice-presidency one day.. but not now that I can't figure out how to post pictures and make it STOP UNDERLINING MY WORDS!! Well, I have been at this for two hours now. Hopefully I will blog again. It started out neat..oh well. Hope you enjoyed my first blog and learning (partially) about the kids first day of school!!

Speaking of firsts, I'm going to be the first person to leave a comment on your new blog. Yeah! I love it! I'm crying from laughing so hard...you are truly one of the funniest people I know. I'm so glad you got the butt shot of the back-packs...I tried...I thought of your mom, but I couldn't even get a good front shot of them...they run to class so fast :) And I don't know what your computer was doing while you were typing, but nothing was underlined or blue for me...so relax next time it does it to you...I think it will come out normal. Gotta go to bed...I love you! (Am I allowed to put this link on my blog...I really don't think any of my friends would make fun of you...I think they'd enjoy your sense of humor as much as I do)
oh yeah...and trying to scam and leave Kara so you really could have a "mothers day out" without paying her tuition...now that's sneaky. You are mother of the year in my book :)
I've had those heart stopping moments with Callie - My girlfriend and I were shopping at an outlet mall with just Callie. I was busying searching for a pair of shoes in Michael's size when I stopped to check on Callie AND SHE WASN'T IN THE STROLLER!! It took a good (and long) 10 seconds for me to remember that my girlfriend, Abby, was holding her because she was a little fussy at the last store we were at! What a dufus!
Hey there. Still laughing at the Kara incident. I should have let you get into your car and then called you on the phone and asked how the baby was. I followed you and re-started my blog. I completely deleted all of the sad, depressing stuff that was on there so it is "normal" now, but I am not good about updating so maybe we can keep each other accountable.
By the way, again---MY SON LOOKS LIKE A GIANT NEXT TO KATE!! She is OLDER then him. I guess that is how it is supposed to be right? It would look weird if they were married and she was bigger and taller than him :)
Oh my goodness.....how funny! I didn't get a chance to read the entire post this morning before we left for our trip, so I just finished. I'm glad I'm not the only mom who does stupid things now and then!!!
