I KNOW IT DI'INT...

STAIN THEIR NEW CHRISTMAS CLOTHES!!!  I'm so stinkin' mad!!  I bought my children (after a "discussion" with daddy.. telling him 'it's fun, the kids will love it, and gives us something to do outside' he finally gave in...) sidewalk paint.  It's made by crayola and looked like fun.

notice on the packaging, it even says WASHABLE...

So we got it out today and they had LOADS of fun with it.  I'm sure the neighbors will love all the "art" work around on all the sidewalks.. oh well, we live with some pretty PWT people, so it's o.k.  ANYWAYS Kate, of course, has the paint from head to toe.. ALL over her clothes.  "That's o.k." I think.. after all it's crayola and it's washable"  So I change her outfit, we go out for a drive, come back and they play again.  Again she has it from head to toe, quite a fun mess.  (Luckily this time the mess was OUTSIDE instead of INSIDE.. see, I am LEARNING...).  Anyways, I throw the kids in the bath (separate bath's now.. too curious.. but we won't go in to that...) and put the clothes in the wash.  I was so proud of myself, I even put SHOUT on it (even though I was thinking I wouldn't need it.. after all, it's washable, and it's crayola.  Crayola has never failed me before.. and either has SHOUT.  So that combination should be no problem!) I never put clothes right in the wash.. that just isn't how I do things.. but this time I did.  SO, after they are done drying, I get them out and they are STILL STAINED.  I am fuming mad!  SO SO SO MAD.  I can't tell you how MAD I am!!  I am NOT the kind of mother who has a set of "play clothes" and a set of "go out somewhere clothes".  We don't have the money for two freakin' different wardrobes.  Lately, for some weird reason, Kate doesn't have many clothes.  I had a cute outfit on her that my mamaw had gotten her for Christmas and now it has blue "sidewalk paint" on it.  The 'weed growin', tree dressing, neighbors are going to LOVE me if the paint doesn't come off the sidewalk!!  Great.  and now Chris can say, "I was right.." WHICH REALLY TICKS ME OFF...  AND poor Kate has one less outfit.. I'm so angry.  I think Crayola needs to give me money for my PWT kids to get some freakin' clothes.  Am I going to have to let them play outside in their underwear so they won't get stains on their "for all occasions" clothes?  Great, that will make the perv across the street who sits in his rocking chair and stares.. awfully excited..  So, THANKS CRAYOLA!  You are making a Pervs. day!  Harsh?  Maybe, but it's been a tough day....

Jen are you reading this? Didn't you tell me a similar story? Sorry Linz...you and Jen should right them a letter about your bad experiences. I remember seeing that and thinking it was cool, and then Jen told me her story so we didn't buy any. I know how you feel about the clothes. I get all psycho-crazy when my kids get stains on their clothes because THEY HAVE TO LAST. I won't even let my almost 6 year old eat spaghetti without a napkin tied around her neck. Throw that stuff out and tell them it had poison in it. Funny story though--- :) love you!

Yes write them a letter! Or an email...that's easy enough. Take a picture of the clothes too!
