Kindergator no more

Again, the pictures are screwed up and out of order, the post landed on the bottom of the page.. and it won't cut and paste so I can't put the pictures in the actual blog... oh, AND some of the pictures are sideways.. ENJOY!!!!

At Denny's after graduation. Noah's favorite place to eat!! PawPaw and Papa cannot really be seen in this picture, but they are there, too!!
I know you can't see Noah in this, but I can and he's doing the HANDMOTIONS AND SINGING... SO BLOGWORTHY!!!

Noah on the last day of school! This picture was so much easier to take than the first day of school picture! I think he looks SO grown up here!!

The fam at his graduation. It was a Hawaiian theme.. so cute!

Noah and Mrs. B.. such a GREAT teacher!! :)

Well, Noah graduated Kindergarten a couple of weeks ago. I am AMAZED that his kindergarten journey is now at an end. WOW. where did the year go? He had an amazing journey his first year of school! Some of the "new" things he learned/did were (in bullet-point form, because this is my second post in two days, so I'm blogged out!!!)

*Learned to read!! What an amazing thing. I don't know how teachers teach children to read. He still has a ways to go, but the basics are there, and we will keep working on it this summer.

*Learned to write. Another thing that I'm amazed with teachers teaching children. Again, his writing has a ways to go, but wow, considering he really couldn't write anything at the beginning of the year, he is doing wonderful!!

*Become more social in situations. By no means does this mean he is a social butterfly, but the boy will now acknowledge being talked to, and sometimes... sometimes will answer and talk back!! shocking, I KNOW!!!

*He went from the beginning of the year program where he wouldn't look at the audience or sing the songs, to the end of the year program where he SANG AND DID THE HAND MOTIONS!!! wow!!! On top of all that, he walked across the stage when his name was called!!! It's the little things in life....

*He made LOTS of new friends and became very "popular" at school. This surprised me as well seeing that he is so shy.

*He started with all of his teeth and ended up losing 6 during kinder!!! 6!!!! That's NUTS!

*He made us so proud of him during the entire year. Not getting in trouble one time at school, completing all of his work, and enjoying school.... for the most part! (On a side note, we met his "twin" this year... he was a not very nice version that would come home from school at times.. we are hoping he doesn't join us next year.... wishful thinking???)
We couldn't have had a wonderful year like this without our wonderful teacher. She will be greatly missed and we appreciate her more than she will ever know. It makes all the difference in the world to have a great Kinder experience. Teachers really don't get enough credit, so Mrs. Buckels, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!! I know she will never read this, but if you ever encounter a Mrs. Buckels as a teacher (b/c I'm pretty sure there is only one...) know that you are in good hands!!

We look forward to another great year as a First Gator.. hahaha... the corniness has got to stop! Can't believe how fast babies grow up!!
