surface reunion

wow! 3 blogs in one day.. I'm so behind on blogs, but I'm hoping that since I have kids who started school and Kara.. well, she is screaming in her crib right now, but she is contained, so I have time to catch up!!!
The last days of summer, we got to go to a family reunion on Chris's side of the family (his dad's moms side.. follow that??). We were excited to go because we haven't been to one of her reunions and it was due time! The reunion was in Dallas, so me being my "brilliant" self, just thought that on the way home we could go to Sea World since we have that season pass, and the kids love it!!! (I was thinking that it was the same distance from Dallas to SA as it is from Houston to SA.. NOT the case, but that's o.k., we had fun anyway...).
The family reunion was at a little country club type place in a neighborhood. We had fun meeting people that we were related to. There was some yummy food and compliments about my kids (not many things are better than that!!!).

There was a racquet ball gym that the kids enjoyed playing and screaming in. Or maybe we locked them in there so the adults could hear each other... but hey, what goes on in family reunions.. stay at the family reunions!

We had a really good time, and then packed up and went to SA. We spent two nights in San Antonio. The first night memaw and pawpaw babysat so Chris and I could go on a date. We went to the riverwalk but by the time we got there it was 10pm and us "old folks" could hardly keep our eyes open!! It was nice to have a dinner without three little ones, though!! The next day we spent all day at Sea World!

It's amazing how much easier it is when grandparents are with you! It's 4 against 3.. hehe you LOSE kiddos.. there is one adult for each of you plus one extra.. ha! Not really, the kids were great, and the weather wasn't that bad at all! There was a nice breeze when it got ridiculously hot, and there are splash pads and a waterpark there, so the kids had a blast!!

We are so thankful we were able to make this short trip, and we had a ton of fun!
