This proves to be a busy week this week. Christmas Feasts with the kids, Pajama day, polar express day, etc. so there will be some cute pics coming up. Today, though, was pretty laid back. Kara and I just hung around the house, and did some laundry. I got out for a bit, but nothing really blog worthy. I think this is what usually happens and how I get out of the blogging habit. I will have a couple of these "boring" days and just have nothing to blog about, if I have enough of those in a row, then bam.. I get behind and then it's 4 months later... oh well..
Here are two "catch-up" photos from my hiatus. The first one is "donuts with dad" they had at the kids school. It was supposed to be from 745-815 in the morning. Well, Chris knew they should leave early, because at our school the parent support is SO good that everyone gets there EARLY. He left the house around 7:20 with the kids. The line was from one side of the school, to the front, out the door and down the sidewalk. They didn't get to the actual cafeteria until about 810 and all the donuts were gone :(. They ended up having "chocolate milk with dad" and he sent them to class hoping snack time would suffice until lunch!! Better luck next year!?
This next one was before we painted our cabinets (obviously). Apparently EVERY thing wants a turn to be replaced in our house. First the entire A/C system (attic, duct work, indoor and outdoor units, etc) then we had a never ending gas leak in the stove so that was replaced and we got an electric stove. Then our dishwasher broke. ugh. I hand-washed dishes for 6 months and then we finally got a new one. Never have I loved an appliance so much. Seriously. Washing dishes is a pain in the hiney... although there are worse things in the world. This is Kara helping my dad install it. Chris was working crazy hours at work, so my dad came over and "helped" us intall it. :)
I think that's all for day... I'm very thankful for a calm afternoon. Makes for a boring blog, but a calm, happy mommy!!!!
